President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes -- Jim Rutherford, announced today that Hurricanes Cam Ward will remain at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Sunday night. Cam Ward is expected to return on Monday, where he will be checked further by Hurricanes Head Orthopedic Physician Dr. Marty Isbell. And the goaltender will miss at least three or four weeks.
Cam Ward suffered the pain of the left upper leg from the skate of Blue Jackets forward Rick Nash, as Nash passed through the crease in the columbus blue jackets jersey during the first period of the game on Saturday night. He was originally expected to return on Sunday, but will remain in Columbus through tonight.
